Mother Warns Parents About Fentanyl Crisis

Mother, Sherri Kent sent a warning to parents across Canada after her son died from an overdose of fentanyl: you don’t need to be addicted to overdose on the drug. “My son was not an addict,” she wrote in a Facebook post on April 19. “He made a mistake that cost him his life.” Fentanyl is unlike other opioids in terms of sheer potency.   Lancaster County law-enforcers are warning drug users to beware of heroin being sold in unique packaging because it is actually suspected straight fentanyl, a substance many times more lethal than heroin. The county Drug Task Force is also seeking information on individuals selling the suspected fentanyl, packaged in distinct purple-and-white checked bags. Heroin is most commonly sold here in blue bags.
